Born and Raised on the North Shore
In 2008, the Jim Joseph Foundation funded a start-up called the North Shore Teen Initiative (now JTI). The program was launched to break through some of the traditional territorial boundaries that exist in Jewish communities, and to approach Jewish youth engagement in a new way.
Almost 10 years later, Jewish life for teens in this region is now more exciting, accessible and rich with possibility. From volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, to skiing in New Hampshire or changing the game of youth engagement with our Peer Leaders Fellowship, JTI has offered a wide range of meaningful Jewish experiences to more than one thousand teens on the North Shore and beyond.
