Friendships Across Town Lines
Community+ Events are designed to be fun, interesting and to appeal to a wide audience. They allow Jewish teens to create friendships across the normal boundaries of schools and youth groups by bringing the larger community together for fun, adventure and learning. Read about a selection of recent gatherings below.
Alumni College Panel:
High school Juniors and Seniors have a lot of big decisions to make. What’s next? College? A gap year? A job? How do I pick a school? A major? An internship? What schools have the social life I’m looking for? The sports? The arts? Join the conversation and hang out with recent NSTI alumni to eat good food and talk about college, gap year, work, social life, travel and more! Alumni, come share your knowledge and catch up with old friends.

Loon Mountain Overnight:
Each winter, teens stay overnight at the slopes for skiing, snowboarding, movies, dinner and hanging with friends. It’s a great way to meet teens from across our communities or enjoy an adventure with old friends – either way, Loon is a great spot to ski/board the day away!

End of Summer Pool Party:
Every August, we round up all the friends we can for an evening of swimming, games, music, lounging and delicious snacks at the JCCNS pool. Summer Israel-travelers, camp counselors, interns, alums and anyone who wants to hang out with friends old and new are welcome as we celebrate the end of a great summer and the start of a new school year!

Lionsgate Films Pre-Screenings:
Through a partnership with BBYO, movie buffs, junior film critics and general fans of Katniss Everdeen have been able to watch her take the big screen the night before anyone else in the nation! The war in Panem may be over, but we are hoping there’ll be another series we get invited to see early in the near future!
Teen Coffee House, Talent Show & Dance:
If you’re a member of a band, play an instrument or have a talent, whether you love to dance or you just like taking in the scene, this is your chance to join the fun! Guided by a teen planning committee and recently run in conjunction with BBYO, this event has taken different shapes each year but is always a huge hit.
