Middle school programming is a collaboration aimed at getting more 6th-8th grade youth together. Throughout the year, there are programs that allow middle schoolers on the North Shore and in Metrowest to come together and have an introduction to teen programming before high school.
In addition to being an important part of our annual Soup-er Sunday and J-Serve service days, favorite past middle school programs have included Project Adventure Leadership Training, “lunch & a show” (Blue Man Group, Shear Madness) SkyZone trampoline park, Indoor Pool Party & Havdallah, Boda Borg, Roller Kingdom skate party and more!
Camp Simchah LIT Programs:
The JCC of the North Shore runs Camp Simchah Leaders-In-Training programs for incoming 8-9th graders. LITs will participate in age-appropriate counselor training and leadership workshops, team building activities, social justice projects, and fun events and field trips. Additionally, LITs will help with camp special events, such as Spirit Days, all-camp gatherings, and they will assist Summer at the J camp counselors in the implementation of programs for campers. The 2018 LIT program is offered in four two-week sessions throughout the summer starting June 25th. Teens may register for multiple sessions; they must make a minimum two-week commitment.
