Make it a Day On, Not a Day Off
Every year through our partnership with TELEM and the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), along with other Metrowest Jewish agencies, we offer this amazing service opportunity to help Repair the World (Tikkun Olam) by supporting those struggling with food insecurity and hunger.
Join 100+ #JewishBostonTeens and adult volunteers from all over the Metrowest (and beyond!) to prepare dozens of lasagna trays, and banana bread to be distributed to local soup kitchens and shelters. We also paint Stars of Hope to send to communities coping with disaster relief. No cooking experience or synagogue affiliation required.

JTI Boston encourages pre-teen, teen, and adult volunteers from all ability levels, including volunteers with disabilities. If requested, we can match you with a peer buddy to provide individualized support that addresses your unique needs. Support might include helping you stay focused on a task, assistance if you are overwhelmed by stimuli during the program, assistance in breaking down tasks to make them more approachable, physical support such as chopping vegetables, and more. Please email [email protected] to learn more or to request a buddy.
Together in 2019, we made 60 lasagnas and baked 70 loaves of banana bread, in addition to decorating 60 Stars of Hope! Click HERE to learn more about JCRC’s MLK Service Day.
